Generation "P"
So, I have noticed something resurfacing in me that I thought was dead... at least it didn't feel as strong as it does now.
Procrastination - to put off till another day or time; defer; delay.
As I am supposed-to-be packing for my gigantic move, I have noticed this P-word growing into me, more and more and more. It's slowly growing and I can feel myself becoming lazier and less motivated to pack.
For example, I installed an video game (Civilization III)onto my computer today and have ended up playing it for a few hours when, in the back of my mind, I can hear this nagging voice saying, "Time to pack! You can be using this time for something productive." That's when I catch myself saying under my breath, "Behind me Mr. Nay-sayer of procrastination! For you do not know the playfulness in me, but only my workful drive!" (ok, that was a REALLY sad whole last statement... now I'm wondering why there's thunder clouds forming above me.)
I have realized that there is a whole generation that has devoted their life to this P-word. It feels so good, to put off work and play more.
So, tomorrow, I'm starting a society to celebrate procrastination! Anybody with me?
